Dog Days: Instax Mini

It's been awhile!  I've been busy with .................... life (school, work, internship, sleep, ect...)

These pics were taken with my Instax Mini which I love.

Glacier is posed just right for me to throw something for him (of course) and Azul was trying to avoid me as much as possible (as usual).  His eyes show his wisdom.......... ok more like his annoyance with me. :)

Forcing Forsythia

 It's that time of year that I'm dreaming of warm weather and Spring.   For the past few years, I have forced forsythia inside so I can enjoy their yellow blooms before they bloom outside.  

To do this cut a few branches off of the bush making sure that those branches have buds on them.

Bring them inside and cut the tips off again and immediately put them in warm water.

It will take them approximately 4 days to a week to bloom depending on what time of year you cut them.

 Above I cut smaller branches but cutting larger branches also creates a unique arrangement.

About a week ago Caitlin from Packagery suggested I submit this project to craftgawer.  I had never heard of craftgawker but went on over and submitted two projects.  

craftgawker is a photo gallery that allows you to visually search and discover handmade arts and crafts to inspire your own projects.

 A couple days after submitting I noticed I had THOUSANDS more views to my page.  Seven days later I've had 12,000 views from craftgawker alone and this project made it #1 most favorited in the last 7 days AND the last 30 days!

March Photo A Day Challenge

I've been wanting to do some sort of photo challenge for a while now, perhaps something similar to Umber Dove: A Day in the Life taking photo's incrementally throughout the day.  Being so busy everyday with internship, work, and classes the only times I would be able to snap pictures would be in the car driving from one place to the next.  I came across Fat Mum Slim's photo challenge in January but skipped out both January and February but decided to take the challenge for March though!
